Take your inner compass outside!

A compass is a very handy tool, especially when you are in the nature. As a GPS, it is mainly used to help you with navigation and orientation. A compass is basically a capsule filled with a liquid and which contains a needle. This needle shows the magnetic North and South, which can help you find all headings and bearings using the dial with degrees within the capsules housing.

Since the needle works on the magnetic poles, other magnetic obstacles like batteries, electric lines, metal and so on, can disturb your compass and make it less effectively. Therefore, a compass does not work inside houses or big cities filled with many disturbing objects. A compass works best in nature.

Now looking to your inner compass, this works the same.

Evolution may have put us in houses and buildings and cities, but we still depend on nature to lower our stress levels and keeping us away from depression. Also simply fresh air works wonders for building energy, and being in a ‘green’ environment actually improves stimulation, concentration, even reading and math. (Take the example of reading a book or studying in a park versus the same in a room).

These examples and many more are reasons to take your inner compass outside, it just simply works better in a natural environment.

If you think you are stuck, lost or simply willing to go further in improving yourself, go outside to find your true direction. If you want to be even more effective, do sports or any dynamic activity outside, so at the same time you boost motivation, confidence and happiness by stimulating the endorphins.

It is not always easy to understand your inner compass, mostly because people tend to follow their mind instead of their hart or soul. Therefore it can be good to have some guidance, somebody who can accompany you in your journey.

Experiential learning: Using the benefits of outdoor coaching and collective intelligence we create situations where we help you evolve personally or as a team: communication, planning, organizing, managing from a distance, teamwork, solutions focus and more.

Team-coaching (not to be confused with team-building): where we work on specific issues within the team and company.

A leadership journey: During this intensive multiple day journey we use outdoor assignments, indoor workshops, collective intelligence, role-play, coaching and much more to explore leadership worldviews and to identify, understand and experience one’s own leadership model.

 Outdoor NLP: As I said before, some people need and are looking for guidance in self development. NLP is one of the very useful and effective ways to do this. For phobias for instance, NLP is very effective but not always tested in its proper form by the practitioner. At Fun and Victory, we help people get over a phobia in a natural setting, meaning; in the mountains. We can do sessions with people in nature and test fear of heights doing a rappel from a cliff or via ferrata. We can do a session for claustrophobia in front of a cave and go in the cave afterward for testing. And much more!
